Radio Electric though established in 1939 was strictly in small custom made order business till 1979-80. In 1977-78, Mr. Umesh Marathe, an Electrical Engineer from Indian Institute of Technology (I. I. T.) Mumbai joined as a Director. Since then the Co. is steadily growing and engaged in manufacture of Variacs and Torroidal Transformers.He is well assisted by Mrs. S. V Chitnis (Adm. Director) since 1977-78, who looks after the Accounts and other statutory Co. matters.
We were the 1 st to introduce on all India basis Double layer VARIACS, now very well accepted & used all over INDIA by SERVO STABlLIZER MFRS. We still specialise in designing & manufacturing Tailor made Double Layer Variacs.
We have been also in the field of design & manufacturing of Torroidal Transformers & were rated as among Top Ten Suppliers by PHILLIPS(5) (an ISO CO).
1978 Mr.Umesh Marathe took over the activities.
1982-83 Introduced Double Layer Variacs in INDIA for
SERVO STABILIZER INDUSTRY
1990 Started manufacturing of Torroidal Transformers
for PHILLIPS .
1994 Started another manufacturing Unit at VASAI.
1995 Imported Toroidal winding machinery from
RUFF, GERMANY.
1997 Imported One more Torroidal Transformer
machinery from RUFF, GERMANY.
1998 : Started Export to ITALY & crossed Rs.l.00 Crore
turnover mark.
