ABHIJEET CASTINGS an upcoming foundry in the Industrial hub of Kolhapur has been established in the year October 2001 and is operational under the flagship of its able and dynamic proprietor Mr. Dhananjay D. patil. The young technocrat at the age of 44 years has gained a very vast experience in the field of manufacturing and fouondry and has grown up in this area right from an apprentice way back in the 1978 with Vijay Industries, Sangli for a period of 3 years to the post of foundry supervisor at S.J. Iron Foundry, Kolhapur.
With his tenure at S.J.Iron from 1981 to 1984 he joined one of the leading foundry in Kolhapur viz. Shri Ram Foundry Ltd. having an annual turnover of Rs.25 crore. Here he gained vast experience of mass production of precision components of automobile and tractor industry for supplies to large industries like TELCO, L&T, MAHINDRA, ESCORTS etc. Under his guidance as a foundry manager, the unit achieved the coveted ISO 9000 QMS certification. During his service tenure of more than 15 years in this company, he has gained vast experience of total management of a large foundry unit and finally resigned from his service from the post of general manager in the year 2000 to bring into reality his long cherished dream of setting up his own foundry Unit at Kolhapur.
Prior to Abhijeet Castings, in the year 1993, Mr. Patil decided to setup his own machine shop viz. Abhijeet Industries. This unit is engaged in performing machining activities for various types of automotive components.
