DR. JARIWALA LABORATORY was established by Dr. Harshad Jariwala MD., DPB., in the year 1981. The object of the effort was to provide quality service in laboratory medicine to all classes of people in Mumbai and around. After determined attempt of 22 years, today the laboratory is recognised as well reputed diagonistic centre in the field of pathology in western suburbs of Mumbai.
Apart from being pioneer in detecting beta-thalassacmia and abnormal haemoglobins A in this part of city, the establishment also offers routine as well as certain specialised pathology tests facility. Most of the investigations are carried out by automation, with standard quality of calibrators. Strength of the laboratory staff is about 30, which includes peons, receptionists and qualified technicians, few of which form the founder team in establishments.
Dr. Harshad J Jariwala, founder and sole proprietor of Dr.Jariwala Laboratory passed MBBS from Bombay University in 1974. He obtained Diploma in Pathology and Bacteriology from C.P.S., Parel, Mumbai in 1977. He acquired Doctorate in Medicine MD in Microbiology in 1978.
Dr.Jariwala has worked as lecturer and later as a reader in microbiology at Grant Medical College, Mumbai, before he established his Pathology laboratory in 1981.
For Blood Sugar Estimation
Fasting blood sugarRequires 6-8 hours of fasting without diametes medication.Any amount of plain water may be taken.
Post Lunch Blood Sugar2 hours following lunch with no change in schedule. i.e. timings, diet and medicine.
For Lipids Estimation
Requires minimum 12 hrs of fasting Any amount of plain water may be taken.
For culture and antibiotic sensitivity studyCollect sterile container from the laboratory.Follow the necessary instructions prior to collection of sample.
For Urine and Stool AnalysisCollect the container from the laboratory.
For rest of the investigations, fasting is not, required, unless advised by the physician and blood may be collected comfortably between 8.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon.
