Dr.Subodh Mehta Medical Relief Trust is founded to promote the following amongst objects.
The advancement and propogation of education and learning in the medical science in general but particularly the medical science comprised by the term Homoeopathy.
The establishment support and / or maintenance in any part of India of dispensaries, hospitals and / or institutions for the advancement of medical science referred to in the above clause and for medical relief or for diagnostic purpose.
To make gifts or fellowship to learned scholars or to institutions for the promotion and advancement of medical science and specially of homoeopathy.
To encourage, support and promote research in the field of medical science with a view to obtaining cures for diseases hitherto considered incurable or known to be curable with difficulty.
Dr.Subodh Mehta Medical Centre aims at alleviating the ailments of people through Homoeopathy, a system of medicine known for the efficacy of its curative quality and Convenience in administratino while being within the means of the masses.
Dr.Subodh Mehta, whose name the Centre bears, dedicated himself to the services of suffering humanity. He offered free consultation and treatment for over 30 years at his own residence. After retirement, he undertook systematic research in the cure of diseases known to be incurable or hard to cure. In recognition of his outstanding public service; his admirers and grateful beneficiaries founded a Trust in 1968. In 1976 the Trust acquired its own premises at 16th Road, Khar, Mumbai. With the blessings of the Almighty and support of the wellwishers, the Medical Centre has grown from Homoeopathy O.P.D. to full-fledged Diagnostic Centre, offering following services under one roof at a very concessional rate to poor and needy and middle class society at a large.
Almost 41 Honorary Specialists from different branches of speciality in modern medicine are attached to the Medical Centre.
The centre is constantly looking for ways and means to provide better and quicker service to the patients whose number is steadily on the increase.
A regular in flow of funds, therefore, becomes necessary to provide the various departments with improved the latest knowhow-equipments and to maintain them. The Trust has fulfilled all audit and legal requirements to qualify for Income tax exemption certificate.
