Company Profile

INDUS AUTOMATION (formerly known as INDIANA AUTOMATION) was incorporated in June 1994 by two technocrats Mr. Raja Reddy and Mr. Venkatram to cater to the Weighing requirements both in the domestic market as well as international market.

Mr. Raja Reddy is a Diploma holder with A.M.I.E. in Electronics and Mr. Venkatram is a B.E. (Instrumentation Technology) graduate. Together they have a technical expertise of 20 years in the weighing and automation field.

Indus's weighing systems are built on world class sensortronics Loadcells. M/s. Sensortronics Sanmar Ltd. is an ISO 9001 company with Technical Collaboration with Sensortronics - USA.

Works: Indus works located at Peenya Industrial Area with a working area of 5000 sq.ft. The staf strength of Indus is around 20 members which includes both technical and administration members. Indiana has a well established sales/service network at Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Hubli, Mysore, Shimoga, Nagpur, Trivandrum and Cochin. Indiana has exported weighing systems to Philippines, Malaysia and Srilanka and Gulf Countries.

Calibration

All equipment are calibrated as follows

A simulator traceable to national standards is used to inject the voltage from 0-30 mv to the controller / display unit. At no load i.e. at 0 millivolt the controller is made to read 0000 and at full load i,e, at 30 millivolt the controller is made to read the full range value for which it has been designed. Re-checking for linearity, hysterists, zero drift etc. is checked.

Dead weights duly calibrated and stamped by the department of legal metrology are also used to calibrate the weighing equipment. Thee display unit is connected to a loadcell which is in turn mounted on the platform with a bottom and top frame.

Burn in Test

The controller/ indicators are connected to load cells and the readings are adjusted to zero, the equipments are switched on continuously for 24 hours and then the display readings are observed this reading should be within the tolerance limit.

Vibration Test

The controllers/ indicators display units are placed on pneumatic vibration table cyclic vibrations ae induced through compressd air / vibrator for durationof 30 minutes. Then the controllers are switched on and checked for performance. This test eliminates problems occuring due to dry soldering, loose connections etc.

Temperature Test

The controllers indicators/display units are placed in a temperature chamber in power on condition. Initial reading is noted down. The temperature chamber is provided with which has thermostat controller. A temperature of around 45 deg c is set and the chamber door is closed. The moment 45 deg c is achieved the controller turns off the heating element. Now the door is opened and reading is noted. The reading between the first reading and the second reading should be within the tolerance limit.

Indus Automation, Manufacturer and Supplier of Electronic Tank Weighing System, Electronic Weigh Bridge, Belt Weighers, Batch Controllers, Weighing Scales etc.
