In 1964 his elder son Tarun Khakhar joined his Father to strengthen popularity already established by his father.

Within very short period he also with his sober, loving & selfless nature became very popular in customer as well as business community.

Both father & son made JANTA WAFERS as one of the leading Namkeens & Wafers Manufacturer as well as wholesale network throughout Mumbai.

Also in social service sector Shri Dhirubhai kept no stone unturned in public life. He was instrument in bringing up new building for Nutan Vidhya Mandir High School & was connected till end of his life also he was involved with Dalmia College of Commerce since its inception. His feather in cap was building Laxmi Narayan Temple, which is a popular visiting spot for outside visitor. Today any local resident who visits this Temple remembers Shri Dhirubhai Khakhar with respect for his contribution.
