KAUSHALYA MEDICAL FOUNDATION
Medical science has undergone a sea of changes in its perception and implementation of health care system. It has made possible things that were previously known to be impossible. This evolution has come about due to multidisciplinary approach, research and social commitment of various non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and government organizations (GOs), in the field of health care. In spite of all these efforts, benefits of good health care system have not reached our people. Being a part of medical faculty, we realized this lacuna.
We discussed and analyzed problems faced by various organizations in health care field. It led us to register KAUSHALYA Medical lid Foundation in 1985 as a public trust, with an Ideological aim to develop a "model health care project".
Thane is a neighboring city of Mumbai and is expected to reach a population of over 2 million soon. It maintains its own identity in cultural, educational and medical activities.
People from surrounding cities like Kalyan, Bhivandi, Dombivli, Panvel, Ambarnath and Ulhasnagar converge onto the Thane city for their medical needs. Vast population of Mumbai has migrated to the neighboring cities around Thane. This district itself has a large semi-urban and rural population.
Thane city has a strategic geographical location, which favors this vast population to approach this city for their Imedical center. Looking at the present statistics and future projection, a comprehensive health care center with high technology medical infrastructure at thane, is a need of time and an economically viable project.
The Hospital Infrastructure
The hospital design is based on the concept of podium and superstructure, which is master planned for Phase I and II in order to execute both the phases in harmony. The podium would house the outpatient department, diagnostic facilities, trauma and day care center, ICU, NICU, Dialysis & 4 state-of-the-art Operation Theatres.
The petal shaped super-structure would house the wards and private rooms for the indoor patients. This has ensured ample light and ventilation and a panoramic view of Thane City to all our indoor patients. Earthquake resistant design and fire-safety precautions are the other unique features of the hospital building. The hospital design serves the purpose of convenience to the patient & relatives and provides best working atmosphere the doctors and the other staff.
The trust is committed to Information Technology and has taken steps to ensure implementation for ease, speed, accuracy and transparency in all the Hospital activities. The trust believes in creating life-long patients' record and a life-long relationship with every patient and his family.
