History
It has been a long journey for M/s Maganlal Dresswalla from the early 1920s to the present day. We started off with a small store in Bhuleshwar, Mumbai, when every- thing around was focused on the Independence movement. My father started with a vision to create a market for what is now called a 'designer wear'. It would be only fair to say that we were the first to introduce a planned concept of designing for motion picture costumes. We have clothed artists right from the first ever Indian talkie Alam Ara to land mark films like Moghul-e-azam and a few foreign productions.
Today almost 80 years later our organisation is run very successfully by the second generation.
The time has now come for us to move on and pass on the legacy to our children by diversifying into couture. With our experience and their knowledge in the field of fashion, we hope to take our relationship with you further.
