Jyoti Dave qualified from the City College, London, UK, in 1978 and has specialized in contact lenses. Her twenty years of experience in prescribing and aftercare management of contact lenses, especially in therapeutic and cosmetic cases, has resulted in a thorough knowledge of the subject.
She practiced in the UK from 1978 to 1987, successfully running two practices in London. She has been running an extremely successful practice in Bombay, India, since 1987, when she also started a research and development laboratory in the design and manufacture of contact lenses.
As well as running the " THE CONTACT LENS CENTRE", in Bombay, for the last five years, she has also been consulting at several SPECSAVERS OPTICIANS in the UK, successfully dividing her professional time between the two countries. in 1995 she started a CONTACT LENS TRAINING COURSE which has been widely appreciated by all those who have attended it.
In India, she receives referrals of the most difficult cases from ophthalmologists from all over the country. On top of all these other commitments, she still has time to attend and conduct conferences and seminars in India.
Her main areas of research and specialization are on KERATOCONUS - a corneal disease, which causes distortion, impairing sight - and post corrective surgery (Radial Keratectomy, Photo-Refractive Keratectomy and LASIC surgery) corneal fitting. The custom - made lenses can fit even the most distorted corneas.
Her list of clients in India ranges from corporate executives, diplomats, film personalities and well known socialites to babies and geriatric patients.
