HOMOEOPATHY was founded by the celebrated German physician Samuel Hahnemann, well known for his work in pharmacology, public health and hygiene, industrial toxicology and psychiatry. During an experiment, he ingested Cinchona (Perivian Bark) and soon after he developed periodic fevers common to malaria. As soon as he stopped taking Cinchona, the symptoms disappeared. Dr. Hahnemann theorized that if taking a large dose Cinchona created symptoms of malaria in a healthy person, this same substance taken in a smaller dose by a patient of malaria might stimulate the fighting capacity of he patient’s body to surmount the challenge of the disease. It means the same substance that in large doses produces the symptoms of an an illness in a healthy individual, in very minute doses cures it in a patient suffering from similar symptoms. Dr. Hahnemann referred to this phenomenon as the Law of Similars.
The more Dilute The Remedy. The Greater its Potency Dr.Hahnemann discovered this Law of the Infinitesimal Dose by experimenting with higher and higher dilutions to avoid Toxic Side effects. Homoeopathic remedies are prepared through the process of TRITURATION & SUCCUSSION and further dilution with pure water or alcohol. Homoeopathic solutions can be diluted to such an extent that literally no molecules of the original substance remain in the remedy. Yet, the more dilute it gets, the more potent it becomes.
