Since January 1999 the Meterological Laboratory of Dott. Ing, Scandura and CSPA is operating as SIT Center. This accreditation covers the branch of our lab enabled to release the calibration certificates of pressure instruments such as manometers, pressure transducers, columns, digital pressure indicators, pressure calibrators etc.
What means to provide an instrument certified by SIT? All measuring instruments shall periodically be tested to verify their proper and correct functioning as well as their metrologic performances to ensure they are supposed to do. The "Calibration" operation consists in a comparison between the indications given by the instrument under test against that of a reference instrument of a superior accuracy class. All readings are then processed according to a recognized procedure.
That's all! But a calibration executed by SIT Center ensures the traceability of the measurements made with the reference instruments against national and international standards. This means that your instrument becomes part of an uninterrupted metrological chain headed by a national standard. These calibration operations are performed according to procedures constantly monitored and documented by the quality assurance system of the center and executed with laboratories in which the environmental conditions are permanently under strict control.
Why to calibrate your instruments at a SIT accredited laboratory?
First, for the high trustworthiness of the operation, due to the recognized skills of their personnel. Then for the perfect maintenance of both the primary and secondary line of equipment in use. Most of all, however, for the commonly accepted procedures for the calibration of the instruments, which are verified and validated by a third independent party.
